Looks like I’ve got the dates set for this month, the 11th and the 26th. I am pretty excited as my new chips will be arriving just in time! I will be posting notes on what transpires so stay tuned!
I also want to run this as an ongoing league format so I will be doing some research into that. Since I play with people that have pretty hectic lives, I don’t want to punish them for missing games, but in the same vein I do want to have a fairly large core (20+) of players so that I can keep track of statistics and determine who will be in the tournament of champions at year-end. I was also close to scooping prizes for the 11th, but they ran out of Snakes on a Plane t-shirts at some promo near where I was talking class last Sunday (Bay/Bloor).
My girlfriend has got some felt together for the table, and with the cards and chips should be a pretty cool experience! I’m also planning on holding a teaching session for anyone interested from my MBA, so we’ll se how many takers I get for that. I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable long weekend!
